Macro-economic indicators of economic and social development of the country in January-November, 2014

During eleven months of 2014 production of GDP increased by 2.2% compared corresponding period of last year and reached to 53.7 milliard manat. 42.6% of value added produced in fields of industry, 12.6% in construction complex, 5.1% in agriculture, 4.9% in transport and 10.0% in trade and in fields of paid services, 1.8% in information and communication and 15.8% in other fields.
Value added in amount of 5710.7 manat (7281.3US dollars) was produced per capita.
Production of GDP increased by 6.5% in non-oil sector and it was decreased by 3.4% in oil sector.
Production output in the field of industry decreased by 1.5% compared to January-November of last year and reached to 29.8 milliard manat, its 70.4% or 21.0 milliard manat was produced in the mining sector, 23.4% or 7.0 milliard manat in the processing sector, 5.5% or 1.6 milliard manat in the production, distribution and supply of electricity, gas and steam and 0.7% or 211.3 million manat in the water supply, waste management and remediation activities.
During January-November from the products of mining sector 38.4 million tons crude oil, 17.0 milliard cubic metre marketable gas was extracted.
Output of food products from the products of processing sector increased by 0.9%, production of beverage 9.1%, production of clothing 65.0%, production of textile industry products 6.7%, production of chemical industry products28.3%, production of construction materials 19.8%, production of ready metal products 10.4%, production of electrical equipment 21.8%, production of automobile and trailers 48.7%, production of other transport means 3.3 times, production of jewellery, music, sport and medical equipment 90.0%, installation and maintenance of machine and equipment 47.4%.
From the beginning of the year 19.8 milliard kilowatt-hour electricity energy (more than 7.2%) was produced in the power stations of the country.
Product output in non-oil sector of industry increased by 6.6% and it was decreased by 3.0% in oil sector. Harvesting of plant-growing is nearing completion in the section of agrarian. Until 1st December including maize 2379.4 thousand tons grain 819.3 thousand tons potato, 1181.6 thousand tons vegetable, 40.6 thousand tons cotton, 844.6 thousand tons fruit and berry, 440.9 thousand tons market-garden crops, 147.6 thousand tons grape, 166.4 thousand tons sugar-beet, 20.3 thousand tons seed for sunflower, 2.9 thousand tons tobacco, 459.2 tons green tea leafs were gathered and 421.1 thousand tons meat in live weight, 1705.2 thousand tons milk, 1425.6 million units egg and 16.6 thousand tons wool were produced.
In terms of value production of live - stock products increased by 3.0% and production of plant-growing products decreased by 8.1%, total products of agriculture 2.9%.
For the product of 2014 in the area of 969.2 thousand hectare tillage was raised, in the field of 806.6 thousand hectare seed for grain as well as, in the field of 502.8 thousand hectare – wheat, in the area of 303.8 thousand hectare barley was sowed.
For the development of economic and social fields 14.7 milliard manat were directed to fixed assets from all financial sources and building and assembly jobs in amount of 10.8 milliard manat were implemented. 70.0 % or 10.3 milliard manat of fixed assets were the domestic investments. Amount of funds directed to fixed capital increased by 0.3%, as well as funds spent for construction works increased by 11.4% in comparison with the corresponding period of last year. 67.2 % or 9.9 milliard manat of investment were spent on construction of production facilities.
5543.7 million manat of investment from state budget was used to the construction of new constructed and under constructed facilities in 2014 and during the year following production and non-production facilities were put into operation: dwellings with total area 1806.4 thousand square metre, secondary schools with 25650 places for pupils, ambulatory-polyclinic institutions which allows serve 186 persons, hospital with 230 beds, pre-school institutions with 1092 places, club with 147 places, in Baku city – “Norm” Cement Plant, new shipyard of the State Border Service's Coast Guard, Asphalt Mixing Plant, new administrative-academic complex of National Conservatory, a ferry terminal in the frame of first phase of new Baku International Sea Trade Port Complex, new buildings of Central Library of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences and “Azerbaijan National Encyclopedia’s” Science Center, building of National Institute of Sports Medicine, Diagnostics and Rehabilitation, Surakhany Solar Power Plant, Health Centre, National Gymnastics Arena, multi-level junction with different levels, in Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic - Arpachay -2 Hydroelectric Power Station, Water-storage Reservoir and Water Treatment Complex, Youth Centre, in Sumgait city - Azerbaijan Paper and Cardboard Factory, Oil Factory, Copper Processing Plant, in Ganja city Metal Casting and Continuous Rolling, Pressure Processing and Dying Plants, in Shirvan city – bridge over the Kur river, in Naftalan city – “Garabagh SPA and Resort” hotel complex, in Absheron region – Chess and Music Schools, stadium, in Agdash region - Food and Fruit Processing Plants, "Aghdash" Electrical substation, in Beylegan region – Chess school, city stadium, First Shahseven-Ahmadli-Dunyamalilar inter-village highway, in Dashkasan region – Bus Station Complex, in Fuzuli region - Garment factory, Ahmadalilar – Mollamaharramli – Arayatli – Babi inter-village highway, in Goranboy region - Goranboy-Yukhari Agjakend highway, in Goy-Gol region - Olympic Sport Complex, Youth Centre, in Imishli region - Bulagli-Bahramtapa part of Hajigabul – Bahramtapa highway, in Ismayilli region - Bread Factory, in Gabala region - first stage of “Tufan” Alpine Skiing Summer and Winter Recreation Complex, Hotel Complex “Qafqaz Yengicə Termal Hotel and SPA”, in Lankaran region – Bread Factory, in Shamakhi region - “Shamakhi Palace Platinum By Rixos” hotel, in Shamkir region Bread Factory, Shamkirchay water reservoir and Hydroelectric Power Station and others.
202.6 million tons cargo and 1.7 milliard person passengers transported by the natural entities engaged in transport enterprises and motor transport means and compared to previous year cargo transportation increased by 1.6%, passenger transportation 4.9 %.
One of the fastest growing areas of the country's economic and social life is information and communication. From the beginning of the year communication services in amount of 1.5 milliard manat or more than 14.2% compared to corresponding period of last year were provided to population, enterprises and organizations by employees of this field. 72.5 % or 1.1 milliard manat of services rendered to population and it was increased by 14.3%.
During January-November consumer goods in amount of 19.2 milliard manat or more than 9.5% compared to corresponding period were sold and paid services in amount of 6.1 milliard manat or more than 6.5% were rendered. 9.6 milliard manat or 50.1% of sold products were food products and 49.9% were non-food products.
11.9% of trade turnover implemented by trade organizations operating as legal entity, 36.7% markets and fairs, 51.4 % natural entities without establishing of legal entity.
According to the data of State Customs Committee during January-October governmental and non-governmental organizations of the country and other natural entities carried out foreign trade operations with 146 countries in amount of 26.6 milliard US dollars.
19.2 milliard dollars or 72.3% of foreign trade turnover was exported goods and 7.4 milliard dollars (27.7%) imported goods. 91.1% or 24.2 milliard dollars of trade relations carried out with countries outside the CIS, 8.9% (2.4 milliard dollars) with CIS member countries.
96.3 % of exported goods sent to the countries outside the CIS, 3.7 %- to CIS member countries, most of the imported goods (77.5%) received from the countries outside the CIS.
Thus, during ten months at the result of import-export operation was formed positive balance in amount of 11.8 milliard dollars, as well as, in amount of 12.8 milliard dollars with countries outside CIS and in amount of 941.1 million dollars negative balance was established with CIS member countries.
Export of non-oil products increased by 0.7% compared to corresponding period of last year.
Taking into account the data on export of crude oil and natural gas received from SOCAR and AIOC foreign trade turnover was formed 34.2 milliard(as well as export 26.8 milliard) dollars, positive balance in amount of 19.4 milliard dollars was established.
During January-October the country received in amount of 45.7 million dollars humanitarian and technical aid.
In November prices and service tariffs of consumer goods increased by 0.1% compared to October and during eleven months compared to corresponding period of last year it was increased by 1.5 %. In November compared to October the price of food products increased by 0.2%, non-food products and service tariffs remained unchanged. During the beginning of the year prices of food products increased by 1.1%, the price of non-food products 3.5 % and service tariffs 0.4 %.
During January-November income of population increased by 4.7 % compared to corresponding period of last year and it was reached to 33.6 milliard manat, per capita amount of it increased by 3.4 % and reached to 3573.3 manat. 69.5 % of income was spent to final consumption, 9.1 % to taxes, social insurance and voluntary payment of membership fees, 18.8 % to increase of savings and capital. Income in amount of 30.6 milliard manat remained at the disposal of population and it was increased by 5.1% compared to corresponding period of last year.
Average monthly salary/wage of employees engaged in economic and social fields of the country compared to January-October 2013 increased by 5.5 % and it was reached to 441.8 manat. Salary/wage of employees engaged in industry field was 710.0 manat, in construction complex 710.0 manat, in transport 537.8 manat and information and communication 735.8 manat.
According to the data of Ministry of Finance during January- October state budget received 15.8 milliard manat and resources in amount of 13.9 milliard manat spent from budget. 42.0 % or 5.8 milliard manat of budget expenditure directed to the development of economy, 11.3 % (1.6 milliard manat) to health and education, 11.7 % (1.6 milliard manat) to social protection and social security.
It was created surplus equal to 3.9 % or 1.9 milliard manat of gross domestic products between income and expenditure of budget.
Bank deposits of population for the state of 1 November compared to corresponding period of last year increased by 11.1 % and it was made 7.0 milliard manat, 4.4 milliard manat of it was by national currency and 2.6 milliard manat by foreign currency.
Credit in amount of 17.8 milliard manat was given by finance-credit organizations of the country until the 1 November, 79.2 % of it was long-term credit and 5.3% - payment was expired.
In November average exchange rate of manat for 1US dollar was 0.78 manat, 1 Euro – 0.98 manat, 100 Russian rouble – 1.71 manat and from the beginning of the year correspondingly it was equal to 0.78, 1.05 and 2.15 manat.
