Macro-economic indicators of economic and social development of the country in 2015

In 2015 Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in amount of 54.4 milliard manat or more than 1.1% compared to 2014 was produced by the enterprises and organizations and natural entities operating in the country. 33.9% of GDP was established in industry, 12.1% in construction, 10.0% in trade; maintenance of transport means, 6.2% in agriculture, forestry, fishery, 5.4% in transport and warehouse, 2.7% in accommodation of tourists and public catering, 2.0% in in information and communication and 19.4% in other fields. Net of tax to the product and import was formed 8.3% of GDP. Volume of GDP on per capita was equal to 5703.7 manat.
In 2015 industrial products in amount of 26.2 milliard manat or more than 2.4% compared with the corresponding period of the last year were produced by industrial enterprises and natural entities engaged in this field.
61.9% of industry product was produced in mining sector, 29.9% in processing sector, 7.3% in distribution and supply on electricity, gas and steam, 0.9% in the sector of water supply, sewerage, waste management and remediation activities.
Production output in mining sector increased by 2.0% as well as marketable gas by 5.5% and oil production decreased by 0.7%.
Production of food products in processing sector increased by 2.9%, production of leather and leather products, shoes 3.0%, woodworking and wood products 67.3%, production of paper and cardboard 7.5%, production of printing products 86.7%, production of chemical industry products 43.2%, production of construction materials 6.3%, production of ready metal products 54.1%, production of computer, electron and optic products 2.1 times, production of electrical equipment 1.8%,production of automobile, trailers and semi-trailers 4.6%, production of furniture 10.1%, installation and maintenance of machine and equipment 2.7 times and production of textile industry decreased by 55.2%, production of rubber and plastic products 21.4%, production of clothing 44.2%, production of beverage 11.2%.
Production volume in the sector of electricity, gas and steam production, distribution and supply has been increased by 0.4% and 1.8% in production output in water supply, sewerage and waste management and remediation activities.
Production output in non-oil sector of industry increased by 8.4% and in the oil sector it was remained at the level of the previous year.
The bulk of produced products were sent to consumers, for the state of 1 January, 2016 considering the balance of the previous periods there were ready products in amount of 317.5 million manat in warehouses of industrial enterprises.
Harvest of plant growing in agriculture was completed. In 2015 including maize 2999.0 thousand tons grain, 839.8 thousand tons potato, 1273.3 thousand tons vegetable, 35.0 thousand tons cotton, 886.3 thousand tons fruit and berry, 484.5 thousand tons market garden crops, 157.0 thousand tons grape, 186.1 thousand tons sugar beet, 18.9 thousand tons sunflower for seed, 3.5 thousand tons tobacco, 578.9 tons green tea leaves were harvested, 515.6 thousand tons meat in live weight, 1924.4 thousand tons milk, 1538.6 million units eggs and 17.0 thousand tons wool were produced. Production of meat compared to the corresponding period of 2014 increased by 2.0%, production of milk 3.7%, production of wool 1.4% and production of egg decreased by 1.5%.
According to the preliminary data for the state of 1st January, 2016 there were 2708.5 thousand head cattle, as well as, 1303.1 thousand head cow and buffalo, 8674.8 thousand head sheep and goats. Number of cattle increased by 11.0 thousand head (0.4%) compared to the 1st January 2015, as well as, number of caw and buffalos 3.9 thousand head (0.3%), number of sheep and goats 29.4 thousand head (0.3%).
During this period the growth rate of total agricultural products compared to previous year was formed 6.6% at the result of increase by 2.5% of production of cattle-breeding and 11.3% of plant-growing products.
For the crops of 2016 rose ploughing in the area of 1044.6 thousand ha and sowed corn for grain in the area of 927.4 thousand hectare as well as, wheat in the area of 583 thousand ha, barley in the area of 344.4 thousand hectare.
In 2015 allocation in amount of 15957.0 million manat was directed to fixed assets. 9880.6 million manat or 61.9 % of used allocation was spent to the construction of production facilities, 5046.7 million manat (31.6%) to the facilities on service fields, 1029.7 million manat (6.5%) to the construction of dwelling houses with total area 1927.2 thousand square meter. 8936.9 million manat or 56.0% of allocations directed to fixed assets was formed domestic funds. 11722.9 million manat or 73.5% of allocations directly spent for the execution of construction-installation works.
During the year 222.4 million tons cargo and 1891.9 million person passengers were transported by natural entities and enterprises engaged in transport and warehouse sector. In comparison with 2014 cargo transportation increased by 0.2%, conveyance of passengers 3.5%. 3.0% of cargos were transported by sea, 7.7% by railway, 61.9% by automobile, 27.4% by pipeline transport. 88.1% of passengers were transported by automobile, 11.7% by metro and others with other types of transport. During the reporting period 161.6 million tons non-oil cargos were transported in transport sector and it was more than 1.6% compared to the corresponding period of the last year.
Services in amount of 1642.8 million manat were rendered to legal and natural entities by information and communication enterprises and its 72.6% was concerning to population sector. Volume of information and communication services increased by 6.8% compared to the corresponding period of 2014 and 81.0% of received income in this sector was share of non-state sector.
In 2015 product in amount of 25721.1 million manat were sold to population by retail trade network and paid services in amount of 7462.8 million manat were rendered by service enterprises. Compared to the previous year commodity turnover increased by 10.9% and volume of paid services 5.1%. Food products, beverages and tobacco products in amount of 12871.2 million manat and non-food products in amount of 12849.9 million manat were sold in trade networks.
According to the data of State Customs Committee during January-November, 2015 volume of foreign trade turnover of the country was formed 18815.4 million US dollars. 10619.2 million dollars or 56.4% of commodity turnover was formed exported products, 8196.2 million dollars (43.6%) imported products and positive balance in amount of 2423.0 million dollars was established resulted from prevailing the export over import. Compared to the corresponding period of 2014 volume of foreign trade turnover decreased by 4.1%, as well as export 5.7% and import increased by 0.2%. 12.0% of trade turnover was share of CIS member countries, 47.3% EU countries and 40.7% other countries. 21.9% volume of imported goods was share of CIS member countries, 31.2% of EU countries, 46.9% of other countries. 4.4% volume of exported goods was sent to CIS member countries, 59.7% to EU countries, 35.9% to other countries. In January-November export of non-oil products compared to the corresponding period of 2014 increased by 3.6% and formed 1461.7 million dollars.
In December, 2015 compared to November, 2016 prices of food products increased by 4.5%, prices of non-food products 7.1% and prices of paid services 1.9%. Generally, prices of consumer goods and services increased by 4.4%.
In 2015 compared to the previous year prices of food products increased by 6.1%, prices of non-food products 3.8%, prices of paid services rendered to population 1.2%. Generally, prices of consumer goods and services increased by 4.0%.
During January-November average monthly nominal salary of employees increased by 4.5% compared to the corresponding period of 2014 and became to 462.0 manat.
Compared to 2014 nominal income of population increased by 5.7% and reached to 41.7 milliard manat. 72.1 % of income was spent to final consumption, 9.1% to taxes, social insurance and membership dues and 15.9% to increasing of savings, 2.9% for payment of credit interests.
According to the data of the Ministry of Finance, in January-November, 2015 state budget received fund in amount of 15455.3 million manat and means in amount of 15469.2 million manat were spent from budget, budget deficit in amount of 13.9 million manat was in the level of 0.03% of gross domestic products. 5.8 milliard manat of budget expenses was directed to the development and regulation of the economy, 3.6 milliard manat to education and health, social protection and social security sector, 6.1 milliard manat to financing of other sectors.
According to the data of Central Bank for the 1st December of 2015 credit portfolio equivalent in national currency formed in amount of 18.7 milliard manat, its 14.1% was long-term credits. Volume of credits increased by 3.3% compared to the 1st of December, 2014. Amount of overdue loans formed 6.6% of total credit portfolio.
Amount of deposits of population in banks formed 7.1 milliard manat for the state of 1st December, 2015.
In November average exchange rate of national currency for 1 US dollar was equal to 1.23 manat (1.03 manat since the beginning of the year), 1 Euro 1.34 manat (1.14) and 100 Russian rouble 1.76 manat (1.70).
Number of population since the beginning of the year increased by 103.8 thousand person or 1.1% and for the state of 1 December, 2015 and it was reached to 9696.8 thousand person.
