Prime Minister Ali Asadov met with the heads of Statistics Finland and Statistics Lithuania

On April 11, Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ali Asadov met with the Director General of the Statistics Finland of the Republic of Finland, Mr. Marcus Sovala and Director General of the Statistics Lithuania of the Republic of Lithuania, Ms. Yurate Petrauskiene.

At the meeting, it was emphasized that reforms were carried out in the field of statistics in Azerbaijan, comprehensive measures were taken to improve the National Statistical System in accordance with socio-economic processes and modern challenges in the country and in the international arena.

The importance of the conference dedicated to the results of the twinning project “Support to the State Statistical Committee and the State Tax Service under the Ministry of Economy in order to strengthen the collection, processing, analysis, publication and dissemination of data in the field of business statistics” held in Baku was emphasized.

Within the framework of the project, discussions were held on improvement of various directions of business statistics in our country, as well as capacity building of local specialists working with statistical data on small and medium-sized businesses.
