Changes in prices of consumer market

Consumer price index in August 2025 compared to August 2024 became 104,9 %, including food products, beverages and tobacco products 106,6%, non-food products 102,1% and paid services provided to population 104,9%.

In August 2025, the consumer price index was 100.4% compared to the previous month and in January- August – 105,6% compared to corresponding period of the previous year.  

In August 2025, consumer price index for food products, beverages and tobacco products became 100,3% in comparison with the previous month and in January- August – 106,6% in comparison with corresponding period of the previous year.   

In August of the current year compared to the previous month, more increase was observed in prices of several food products such as beef, mutton, milk, eggs, sunflower oil, corn oil, banana, sour cherry, apricot, watermelon, white cabbage, greens, cucumber, green beans, carrot, garlic, chocolate products, while the decrease was observed in the prices of lemon, apple, pear, melon, grape, cauliflower, broccoli, tomato, sweet pepper, eggplant, table beet, onion, potato. No significant changes were observed in prices of other food products. 

In August 2025, consumer price index for non-food products made 100,1% compared to the previous month and in January- August– 102,6% compared to corresponding period of the previous year. In July, in comparison with the previous month, an increase was observed in prices of non-food products such as personal hygiene products and jewelry products, while the decrease was observed in the prices of summer clothes. No significant changes were noticed in prices of other non-food products.    

In August 2025, consumer price index for paid services provided to population was 100,6% compared to the previous month and in January- August– 106,9% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year. In August, compared to previous month, an increase in the prices of paid services provided to population was mainly observed in the prices of dry cleaning of clothing, international telephone calls, international passenger transportation services by air, and catering services provided by restaurants and cafés. No significant changes were observed in prices of other paid services.
