Traffic accidents occurred on the highways in January-March 2026

In January-March 2026, 252 or 5,6% less traffic accidents occurred compared to corresponding period of 2025, the number of victims of these accidents decreased by 14,2% and made 319 people. 140 of suffered people died and 179 of them were injured. 42,9% of accidents happened at night time, 37,7% - in the daytime, 19,4% - during twilight. 32,9% of traffic accidents occurred on Saturdays and Sundays.

84,1% of traffic accidents happened in settlements; number of people died as a result of these accidents decreased by 2,9% and made 99 persons, while the number of injured people decreased by 21,9% and made 168 people.

42,1% of all traffic accidents happened with participation of transport means and pedestrians, 37,3% - several transport means, 20,6% - one mode of transport. 75,7% of people who died and 71,5% of those injured as a result of traffic accidents were men.
