For the state of May 1, 2022 number of employees engaged in the country economy compared to the same period of the previous year increased by 22,9 thsd. persons or 1.4 percent and made 1701,3 thsd. persons, 904,0 thsd. of them were the employees of the public sector and 797,3 thsd. persons were the employees of the non-public sector.

19,6 percent of employees were engaged in education, 18,8 percent in trade; repair of transport means, 12,5 percent in industry, 8,2 percent in health and social services provided to population, 7,3 percent in construction, 6,6 percent in public administration and defence; social security, 4,3 percent in transport and warehouse, 3,5 percent in agriculture, forestry and fishing, 3,4 percent in professional, scientific and technical activity, 1,9 percent in finance and insurance and 13,9 percent in other fields of economy.

On January-April 2022 average monthly nominal salary of employees engaged in the country economy increased by 14,2 percent and made 824,7 manats. Average monthly nominal salary in the sphere of mining industry, finance and insurance, information and communication, professional, scientific and technical activity as well as transportation and storage, was higher.
