The number of nights spent in hotels and similar establishments in January-September 2022 increased by 1,5 times compared with the corresponding period of 2021 and amounted to 2046,5 thousand. 53,0% of the nights in hotels were registered in Baku, 6.9% in Gabala, 6,2% in Khachmaz, 6,1% in Guba, 4,3% in Gusar, 4,1% in Shabran, 3,7% in Lankaran, 3,1% in Naftalan, 1,8% in Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, 1,0% in Ismayilli, 1,0% in Gakh, 1,0% in Shamakhi, 0,8% in Masalli, 0,7% in Shusha and 6,3% in other districts (cities).

The number of nights spent by foreigners and stateless persons increased by 4,3 times compared with the corresponding period of 2021 and amounted to 1031,4 thousand, representing 50,4% of total nights. 19,7% of the nights were spent by citizens of Saudi Arabia, 11,2% - the Russian Federation, 10,0% - the United Arab Amirates, 8,2% - Turkey, 4,3% - Kuwait, 4,1% - Israel, 3,9% - India, 3,4% - USA, 3,1% - Great Britain, 2,3% - Pakistan, 1,6% - Kazakhstan, 1,5% - Qatar, 1,4% - Germany, 1,2% - Uzbekistan, 1,1% - Georgia, 1,1% - Italy, 1,0% - Iran, 0,9% - Oman, 0,7% - China, 0,6% - the Netherlands, 0,6% - Ukraine, 18,1% - citizens of other countries.

78,3% of the nights in hotels spent by foreigners and stateless persons were registered in Baku city, 8,1% in Gabala, 4,4% in Guba, 3,6% in Gusar, 2,4% in Naftalan, 0,7% in Shabran, 0,5% in Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, 2,0% in other districts and cities.

The number of nights spent in hotels by the citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan was 1015,1 thousand, representing 49,6% of total nights.

In January-September 2022, hotels' revenues increased by 1,7 times compared with the corresponding period of 2021 and amounted to 269,1 million manats, 60,3% of which were services for the provision of rooms, 27,6% for catering services, 3,0% for treatment and health services, and 9,1% for other services.

In January-September 2022, one time use of the number of hotels was 16,3% (11,2% in January-September 2021). This indicator was 89,6% in Shabran, 37,5% in Naftalan, 30,4% in Guba, 25,9% in Lankaran, 25,7% in Beylagan, 23,6% in Baku, 21,8% in Gabala, 19,1% in Shusha, 19,1% in Aghjabadi, 16,9% in Gusar, 16,9% in Sabirabad, while in other cities and regions it was below average.
