A meeting was held at the State Statistical Committee with the delegation led by Ms. Zehra Zümrüt Selçuk, Director General of the Statistical, Economic and Social Research and Training Centre for Islamic Countries (SESRIC) of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), who is visiting Baku to participate in the WUF13 events.

Mr. Azer Mursagulov, Chairman of the Committee emphasized that cooperation in the field of statistics has been successfully continuing and highlighted the importance of the jointly implemented projects and training programs.

It was noted that the training programs organized within the framework of cooperation with SESRIC contribute significantly to enhancing the professional knowledge and skills of the staff members.

Ms. Zehra Zümrüt Selçuk expressed her satisfaction with the existing cooperation and stressed the importance of continuing the joint activities.

During the meeting, views were exchanged on the development prospects of cooperation and other issues of mutual interest.
