The 16th Session of the Azerbaijan–Belarus Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation was held in Minsk.

Within the framework of the session, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Samir Sharifov, and Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus, Ms. Natalia Petkevich, signed the Protocol of the 16th Session of the Azerbaijan–Belarus Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation.

Within the framework of the event, a Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the Field of Statistics was also signed between the State Statistical Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the National Statistical Committee of the Republic of Belarus. The document was signed by Mr. Azer Mursagulov, Chairman of the State Statistical Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and Ms. Inna Medvedeva, Chairperson of the National Statistical Committee of the Republic of Belarus.

It should be noted that, the Memorandum of Understanding signed within the framework of the 16th Session of the Azerbaijan–Belarus Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation is intended to further enhance cooperation between the statistical authorities of the two countries.
