On 16 November 2022 a ceremony of presentation of the information system “Administrative Data Management System – ADIS” developed within the framework of the project “Establishment of an Administrative Database Integrated Management System” implemented jointly with Statistics Korea (KOSTAT) in accordance with the “Memorandum of Understanding for cooperation in the field of statistics between the State Statistical Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Statistics Korea”.

Mr. Vahab Mammadov, First Deputy Chairman of the State Statistical Committee and Mr. Hyangwoo Jeong, Director General for Planning and Coordination of KOSTAT made an opening speech at the presentation. It was noted that one of the activities required to reduce respondents’ burden through eliminating duplication, to optimize the costs incurred in production of official statistical materials and thus to improve its efficiency, is the improvement of mechanism of the management of administrative data within official statistical system obtained from various government agencies. Cooperation with KOSTAT has created new opportunities for the State Statistical Committee, which constantly prioritizes exchange of experience and information in the application of the relevant international standards, application of modern information and communication technologies in the process of statistical data production, sharing of the latest innovations and experiences, and the implementation of mutual activities related to human capacity building. The successful implementation of the project on the establishment of an administrative database management system in accordance to the Memorandum of Understanding and the development and submitting into use the ADIS information system within the framework of the project are of great importance.

Then ADIS information system was introduced in real-time mode. Mr. Seonyong Won, PM, Division Manager, Statistics Service Division, OCEAN IT and Mr. Toghrul Ajalov, Deputy Head of the Department of Statistical Works Coordination and Strategic Planning of the State Statistical Committee, gave detailed information about the work done within the project and the information system “Administrative Data Management System – ADIS”. It was noted that the processes carried out in ADIS are divided into five stages. These are data reception, coordination, quality control, creation of databases and system management. During the presentation, the experts demonstrated the relevant functions of ADIS information system management, including the control panel of the system user and data management.
