For the state of February 1, 2024 according to the primary data number of employees engaged in the country economy made 1725,1 thsd. persons, 901,7 thsd. of them were the employees of the public sector and 823,4 thsd. persons were the employees of the non-public sector.

19,2 percent of employees were engaged in education, 18,6 percent in trade; repair of transport means, 12,9 percent in industry, 8,5 percent in health and social services provided to population, 6,5 percent in public administration and defense; social security, 6,3 percent in construction, 4,2 percent in transport and warehouse, 3,7 percent in professional, scientific and technical activity, 3,3 percent in agriculture, forestry and fishing, 2,2 percent in finance and insurance and 14,6  percent in other fields of economy.

According to the primary data, in January 2024 average monthly nominal salary of employees engaged in the country economy increased by 10,1 percent and made 942,4 manats relatively to the corresponding period of the previous year. Average monthly nominal salary in the sphere of mining industry, finance and insurance, information and communication, professional, scientific and technical activity as well as transport and warehouse were higher.
