Based on the results of statistical survey organized by the State Statistical Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan, in 2023 there were obtained 4550,0 ton of honey, 172,7 ton of bee wax, 14,9 ton of bee glue, 8,9 ton of bee bread and 281,1 kg of bee milk from 597,3 thsd bee families existing in 30802 farms. Average sale price of 1 kg of honey made 25,8 manats, bee wax - 15,9 manats, bee glue - 97,2 manats, bee bread - 132,7 manats, average sale price of 1 gr of bee milk was 6,0 manats.

In comparison with 2022 the number of bee families in 2023 decreased by 9,0 times, production of honey by 38,9 percent, bee wax by 0,8 percent, bee glue 22,0 percent, bee bread 62,0 percent, bee milk 25,9 percent and number of bee families per farm engaged in apiculture decreased by 2,5 percent. The decline in the apiculture was due to unfavorable weather conditions.
