According to the State Border Service data, in January-October 2024 the Republic of Azerbaijan received 2209,6 thousand or 28,2 percent more foreigners and stateless persons from 186 countries of the world compared to the corresponding period of the previous year. 28,5% of the arrivals were from the Russian Federation, 16,2% – Türkiye, 9,1% – India, 8,0% – Iran, 4,1% – Georgia, 4,0% – Saudi Arabia, 3,3% – Kazakhstan, 3,0% – Pakistan, per 1,7% – China and Uzbekistan, 1,6% - United Arab Emirates, 1,4% – Ukraine, 1,3% - Kuwait, per 1,2% - Turkmenistan and Israel, per 1,0% - Oman and Belarus, 11,7% – were citizens of other countries. 66,8% of the arrivals were men and 33,2% were women.

In comparison with the same period of the previous year, the number of arrivals from India increased by 2,3-fold, South Korea – 1,9-fold, Spain – 1,9-fold, China – 1,9-fold, Philippines – 1,6-fold, Kyrgyzstan – 1,5-fold, Kazakhstan – 1,5-fold, Pakistan – 1,5-fold, Oman – 49,0%, Jordan – 40,0%, Poland – 35,5%, Iran – 33,2%, Italy – 32,4%, Turkmenistan – 30,2%, Saudi Arabia – 27,0%, Yemen – 26,2%, the Netherlands – 21,7%, Germany – 21,3%, USA – 20,7%, Egypt – 20,0%, Uzbekistan – 19,5%, Russian Federation – 19,0%, Ukraine – 17,0%, Tajikistan – 16,7%, Türkiye – 15,8%, France – 14,6%, Kuwait – 12,1%, Great Britain – 11,4%, Moldova - 10,6%.

Compared to January-October 2023, the number of arrivals from EU member countries increased by 32,8 percent and amounted to 94,0 thousand persons, from Gulf countries increased by 28,3 percent and amounted to 365,3 thousand persons, from the CIS countries increased by 20,9% and amounted to 837,1 thousand persons.

76,1% of foreigners and stateless persons arriving in our country used air transport, 22,6% - railway and car, and 1,3% - sea transport.

The total number of citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan going abroad increased by 17,6% compared to January-October 2023 and amounted to 1816,4 thousand persons. The number of citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan traveling to Iran increased by 35,6%, Russian Federation - 14,1%, Georgia - 13,4%, Türkiye – 10,8%. 41,8% of citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan traveled to Türkiye, 20,7% – Russian Federation, 8,7% – Georgia, 8,6% - Iran, 20,2% to other countries. 64,1% of the travelers were men and 35,9% were women.

In January-October 2024, 69,6% of the citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan who visited foreign countries used air transport, 28,3% railway and car, and 2,1% - sea transport.
