Based on the results of statistical survey organized by the State Statistical Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan, in 2024 there were obtained 5166,3 ton of honey, 132,1 ton of bee wax, 8,5 ton of bee glue, 16,8 ton of bee bread and 239,3 kg of bee milk from 579,0 thsd bee families existing in 30601 farms. Average sale price of 1 kg of honey made 28,6 manats, bee wax - 16,5 manats, bee glue - 109,7 manats, bee bread - 140,9 manats, average sale price of 1 gr of bee milk was 7,0 manats.

In comparison with 2023 the number of bee families in 2024 decreased by 3,1 percent, production of honey increased by 13,5 percent, bee bread 88,8 percent, while production of bee wax decreased by 23,5 percent, bee glue 43,0 percent, bee milk 14,9 percent and number of bee families per farm engaged in apiculture by 2,4 percent. The decline in the number of bee families and in the production of some apiculture products was mainly due to bee diseases.
