Guliyev Gulbala was born on 3 February, 1958 in Baku city. In 1979 he graduated from Baku State University, the faculty of Mechanics-mathematics.
In the period of 1979-2008 he worked as junior staff scientist, staff scientist in the Institute of Cybernetics of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences.
In 2008-2014 he worked as adviser of the Analytic Sector of social-economic development of the regions of the Department of Regional management and Work with local self-managed bodies in the Administration of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
In 2015 he worked as Deputy Head of the Department of Trade Statistics in the State Statistical Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Since 2016 he is Head of the Department of Service Statistics.
He is a counselor of civil service. Awarded the medal “For distinction in the public service” in accordance with the Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 22 June, 2022. He is married and has three children.
Activity Direction of the Department:
- participate in building up a unique state policy in the field of service statistics and provide implementation of the policy;
- timely collect service statistics and provide correspondence with social-economic process in the country;
- provide development of service statistics;
- organize surveys on service statistics.
