Ilgar Valiyev was born on 4 March 1973. In 1995 he graduated from Azerbaijan State Economy Institute.
In 2010 he worked as a leading consultant in the Nasimi Department of the Baku City Statistical Office, in 2011-2020 as a leading consultant, chief consultant, head of the sector in the State Statistical Committee.
He works as a Head of the Department of the Sustainable Development Statistics of the State Statistical Committee since October 2020. He is a counselor of civil service. He is married and has two children.
Activity Direction of the Department:
-the study of the impact of the statistical data in the development process of the country, theoretical and practical basis of their measurement, regularity of developments that affect sustainable development;
-complex analysis on the basis of indicators characterizing sustainable development on the country by taking into account of the international practice, preparation of the recommendations and suggestions on the basis of the results obtained;
-identification of the selection procedure of the indicators for measurement of the sustainable development on the country, as well as, development of the measurement system of connectivity among them;
-implementation of scientific-practical and statistical investigations on themes covering measures and aspects of the sustainable development;
-preparing of practical and theoretical basis of the measurement framework of the sustainable development;
-implementation of official statistics of the country and regions on the fields covering aspects of the sustainable development;
-preparing of the official statistical data, databases and publications on the sustainable development statistics
