Macro-economic indicators of economic and social development of the country in January-February, 2012

In February received increasing on main macro-economic indicators showing the changes happened in economic and social life of the country and also increasing observed in the income and salary/wage reflecting population living standards.
Output of Gross Domestic Product compared to January-February, 2011increased by 0.5% and become to 8.0 milliard manat. 60.5 % of value added created in the field of industry, 5.0% in the complex of construction, and 8.2% in trade and in the field of paid service, 5.0% in transport, 1.6% in communication enterprises, and 2.5% in agrarian, 11.3% in other fields. On average for per capita in amount of 876.9 manat (1115.3 US dollars) value added were produced.
42.6 % of value added produced by the non-oil increased by 7.1% compared to January-February of last year and 4.5% decreased in oil-gas sector.
During January-February, 2012 in amount of 6.0 milliard manat or compared to corresponding period of last year more than 2.0% industry products were produced by the industry enterprises and natural entities engaged in this field. 4.7% or 78.2% of products were produced in the mining industry, 7.5 million manat tons oil and 3.0 milliard cubic meters marketable gas was produced.
During two months in amount of 939.1 million manat industry output were produced in the processing field of industry. Output of food products in the section increased by 3.5%, output of products on weaving industry - 51.3%, output of oil products - 5.3%, output of rubber and plastic manufactured products - 3.1%, output of construction materials - 15.0%, output of ready metal products - 47.4%, output of computer and other electronic equipments - 29.3 times, output of electric equipments -5.2 times, output of machine and its equipments - 2.0 times, output of other transport means - 14.6%, output of furniture - 2.7 times, installation and maintenance of machine and its equipments - 2.7 times.
Production output in the unit of distribution and supply on electricity, gas and steam 5.6% or 339.0 million manat of industry products was produced. Produced 4.1 milliard kilowatt hour marketable electricity was more than 18.7% compared to the level of last year.
Production output in the unit of water supply, sewerage, waste management and remediation activities increased by 10.1 %.
Production output in the field of non-oil sector increased by 17.2% but in gas-oil sector decreased by 3.0 %.
During two months 99.7% of produced products were sent to consumers. However, considering the balance of the previous periods of industrial enterprises, in amount of 282.2 million manat ready goods were in the warehouses and it is increased by 1.4 million manat compared to the previous month.
The data reflecting the activity of agrarian sector shows that, workers of the section successfully finished the hibernation and began sowing of plant-growing. Until the 1st March in the area of 35.6 thousand hectare spring sowings were planted, as well as, in the area of 1.8 thousand - grain and grain-crops, in the area of 10.7 hectare - potato, in the area of 5.3 thousand hectare - vegetable, in the area of 10 hectare - market garden crops.
From animal-produce in live weight production of meat increased by 1.5 thousand tons or 2.3% and became 67.7 thousand tons, production of milk increased by 6.8 thousand tons or 2.8 % became 244.1 thousand tons, production of egg increased by 11.2 million units or 6.6 % became 181.1 million units, from plant-growing 2998 tons (12.0% more than 2011) vegetables were produced. Increasing on output of noted products is provided the total output level more than last year by 2.8%.
For the implementation of construction works in the country from all financial sources in amount of 1196.4 million manat or 5.2 % more than corresponding period of 2011 funds were directed to the fixed assets. 587.4 million manat of funds directed to the fixed assets were used in the building and assembly jobs and increased by 7.1% in the compared period. 51.4 % or 614.4 million manat of fixed assets were used in the construction of production facilities, 66.7% (798.3 million manat) of it were domestic investments. During two months with total area of 247.1 thousand square metre dwellings as well as hospital with 15 beds, club with 140 places, Aluminum plant complex in Ganja city, Chess school in Goranboy region, Central hospital and Chess centre in Gusar region were put into operation.
Transport enterprises engaged in transportation of goods and passengers during two months 31.5 million tons cargo and 237.4 million person passengers were transported by the natural entities. In comparison with January-February of last year, more than 5.3 percent cargo and more than 8.8 percent passengers were transported.
As in the past year also in current year one of the fastest growing areas is communication. From the beginning of the year during the last two months communication enterprises were rendered in amount of 195.4 million manat communication services to population, enterprises and organizations. Volume of communication services increased by 14.1% compared to January-February, 2011, 72.8% of it directly rendered to population.
According to the data received from the State Customs Committee in amount of 2506.5 million US dollars trade were carried out with foreign countries, as well as, in amount of 657.7 million dollars import and in amount of 1845.8 million dollars export operation were carried out and there were formed positive balance in amount of 1191.1 million dollars. Relatively to the January of 2011 value of commodity exchange decreased by 1.0% in comparable prices, as well as, the volume of export - 3.8%. Volume of import is increased by 6.8%. 89.9% or 2254.2 million dollars of trade relations implemented by far foreign countries, 10.1% or 252.3 million dollars by CIS member countries. Volume of trade operations with these regions increased by 3.7% in comparable prices and decreased by 26.2%. In comparison with January, 2012 value of exported goods from country to far foreign countries in comparable prices decreased by 0.6% and in amount of 1768.8 million dollars goods were sent. As well as, volume of exported goods to CIS member countries decreased by 43.3% and formed 80.0 million dollars.
In January the country received in amount of 485.4 million dollars of imported goods from far foreign countries, 172.3 million dollars from CIS member countries, appropriately it is increased by 19.5% and decreased by 18.2%.
During two months of 2012 income of per person of country residents on average increased by 12.0% and reached to 497.9 manat. 70.6% of income was spent to final consumption, 9.8% - taxes, payment of social insurance and voluntary membership, 17.3% - increasing of deposits and capital.
Increase of salary/wage of employed persons has a great importance in increase of income. During January average monthly salary/wage of employed persons increased by 8.5% compared to the corresponding period of 2011 and formed 368.4 manat.
Along with the increase of incomes the demand of consumer goods of the population also increases. During two months in amount of 2617.2 million manat consumer goods were received by people and instead of rendered services they paid 851.1 million manat. Compared to January-February, 2011 commodity circulation is increased by 9.0%, as well as, selling of food products - 2.4%, selling of non-food products - 21.9%, volume of paid services - 8.3%.
In February prices and service tariffs of consumer goods compared to January increased by 0.1%, as well as, prices of food products - 0.2%, service tariffs - 0.1%, prices of non-food products was stable as in January. Prices and service tariffs of consumer good during January-February compared to the corresponding period of 2011 increased by 3.7%, as well as, prices of food products - 4.6%, prices of non-food products - 1.3%, service tariffs - 3.4%.
According to the data of Ministry of Finance in January in amount of 1547.9 million manat fund were received by the state budget, in amount of 460.8 million manat were spent from budget, 9.6 million manat of allocated fund were directed to the development of economy, 184.8 million manat - social protection and social security, 28.8 million manat - education and health.
In amount of 10.1 milliard manat or more than 20.6% compared to January of last year creditwere given to natural and legal entities by the finance-credit organizations of the country. 69.4% of credits were given for a long period.
Till the 1 February in amount of 4.2 milliard manat deposits were put by the population of the country and its volume increased by 36.0% compared to the corresponding period of last year. Amount of deposits by national currency increased by 66.7% and reached to 2.3 milliard manat, volume of deposits by foreign currency increased by 10.8% and reached to 1.9 milliard manat.
In February 1 US dollar was 0.79 manat, 1 Euro - 1.04 manat, 100 Russian roubles - 2.63 manat, but in the beginning of the year it was equal to 0.79, 1.03, and 2.57 manat.
