From the beginning of the year number of country population increased by 91.7 thousand persons and to the state of 1 October 2012 reached to 9327 thousand person. Density of population made 108 persons per square km. 49.6 % of population is men, 50.4% - women, 22% - aged 0-14, 72% - aged 15-64, 6% - aged 65 and over. At the moment there are 1015 women per 1000 men.
131.2 thousand children (approximately 479 infant for a day) were born during the nine months of 2012. Compared to the corresponding period of last year by the account of per 1000 person of population birth rate is decreased from 19.3 till 19.1. 1444 of infants were twins, 33 - triplets.
For the infants born in current year life expectancy is 73.9 years, as well as, for boys - 71.2, for girls - 76.6.
During January-September 62.3 thousand marriages and 8.3 thousand divorces were registered in the country and compared to the corresponding period of 2011 number of marriages decreased from 9.3 to 9.0 and number of divorces was remained at the same level (1.2).
For permanent residence within nine months of the year 2012, 1.6 thousand persons came to Azerbaijan and 0. 2 thousand persons left the country.
