Social protection in the country

For the state of 1^st April, 2013 - 1271 thousand pensioners were registered in the System of State Social Protection Fund and they formed 13.8% of country population.
Average amount of fixed monthly pensions increased by 1.8% compared to corresponding period of last year and it was formed 152.9manat and it was equal to 37.8% of average monthly salary.
In accordance with the data of State Social Protection Fund of the Republic of Azerbaijan in amount of 605.5 million manat or 6.5 million manat compared to the corresponding period of last year or more than 1.1% allocation was directed to the finance of pensions and benefits during January – March of current year.
For the state of 1^st April according to the data of State Social Protection Fund of the Republic of Azerbaijan there were fixed social benefits for 311.0 thousand persons.
35.0 thousand persons received monthly grants for the rendering special services for the Republic of Azerbaijan during three months of 2013.
For the state of 1^st April 542.8 thousand persons from 123.3 thousand families received addressed public social aid and on average in amount of 26.8 manat was paid for per person.
