During five months of 2013, in amount of 22.1 milliard manat or more than 4.5% compared to corresponding period of last year Gross Domestic Product (GDP) was produced by the enterprises and organizations operating in the country as well as, natural entities. 62.7% of GDP was created in the production output fields, 30.9% in service fields and 6.4% of it was share of net taxes for product and import. Production of GDP for per capita was formed 2389.0 manat (3044.4 USA dollars).
52.5% of value added was produced in non-oil sector and it was increased by 11.0% and decreased by 1.4% in oil sector.
During January-May in amount of 14.1 milliard manat or less than 0.2% compared to corresponding period of 2012 industry products were produced. 74.3 % of products were produced in mining sector, 19.5% - in processing sector, 5.6% in production, distribution and supply of electricity, gas and steam, 0.6% - in water supply, treatment and processing of waste.
Production output in the non-oil sector of industry increased by 2.4% and it was decreased by 0.8% in oil sector.
Production output in mining sector decreased by 1.6% compared to indicators of five months of last year and 18.1 million tons oil and 7.4 milliard cubic metre marketable gas were produced.
Production output increased by 8.8% in the processing sector, as well as, production of food products – 5.5%, production of beverage – 9.4%, production of leather and leather products, shoes – 51.5%, production of paper and cardboard – 3.7%, polygraphy activity – 72.4%, production of oil products – 11.5%, production of products on chemical industry – 3.4%, production of pharmacology products – 51.3%, production of construction materials – 25.7%, production of products on metallurgy industry – 20.5%, production of computer and other electron equipments - 21.8%, production of automobile and trailers – 25.4%, production of other transport means – 98.2%, production of furniture – 9.8%, installation and maintenance of machine and equipments – 45.9%.
Production output of industry in the sector of production, distribution and supply of electricity, gas and steam increased by 0.2% and 8.9 milliard kWh produced electricity was lower by 2.5% compared to last year.
Production output in the sector of water supply, treatment and processing of waste was increased by 4.2%.
For the state of 1 June in amount of 284.6 million manat ready product had in the warehouses of industry institutions and it was increased by 3.6 million manat compared to last month.
Spring field activities in the agrarian sector are on the stage of compilation. Till the 1st June sowing of spring plants were carried out in sowing area with 349.6 thousand hectare, as well as, in the sowing area with 30.6 thousand hectare - grain and grain legumes, in the sowing area with 36.2 thousand hectare – maize for grain, in the sowing area with 64.6 thousand hectare – potato, in the sowing area with 74.5 thousand hectare – vegetable, in the sowing area with 23.0 thousand hectare – cotton, in the sowing area with 27.8 thousand hectare – market garden crops, in the sowing area with 5.0 thousand hectare – sugar beet, in the area with 8.9thosand hectare – sunflower for grain, in the sowing area with 1206 hectare – tobacco have been planted.
Along with conducting spring field works the agricultural workers had begun to collect the products of their own cultivation. Till the 1st of June 57.1 thousand tons grain and grain legumes, 53.5 thousand tons potato, 76.8 thousand tons vegetable, 7.9 thousand tons fruit and berry, 254.5 tons green tea leaves were gathered.
During six month 178.1 thousand tons live weight meat, 741.1 thousand tons milk, 566.8 million unit egg and 13.1 thousand tons wool were produced and meat production was increased by 2.8% compared to corresponding period of 2012, milk production – 5.9%, egg production – 14.5%, wool production – 3.4%.
Thus, during five months compared to last year more than 5.2% agricultural products were produced.
During five months in amount of 5.8 milliard manat allocations were directed for the implementation of construction works in the country from all financial sources to fixed assets and building and assembly jobs in amount of 3.7 milliard manat were implemented. Investment was increased by 27.4% compared to corresponding period of 2012 and volume of allocations spent to assembly jobs – 42.5%.
4.2 milliard manat or 73.4% of allocations directed to fixed assets was share of domestic investments and more than 22.3% compared to last year, foreign investment was higher by 44.1%.
During January-May total area with 664.4 thousand square metre dwellings was put into operation as well as secondary schools with 2818 places for pupils, ambulatory-polyclinic institutions which allows serve 130 persons, pre-school institutions with 457 places, club with 724 places, in Baku city - Production Union on “Ship Repair and Ship Building”, Hangar Complex and International Logistics Centre in the International Airport named by Heydar Aliyev, in Sumgait city “Textile Park “Gilan”, in Absheron region - “Milla” Dairy Products and Ice-cream Production Factory, Disposable plastic containers and Preforming Manufacturing, Buzovna-Mardakan- Gala highway, in Gobustan Region Sport Complex, in Gabala region Cultural Centre, first stage of Shooting club, dairy and livestock complex, “Aspi Winery” grape processing factory and in Hajigabul region Ceramic tiles production plant and other production and non-production facilities.
In the current year from state budget in amount of 7019.0 million manat allocation was considered for the construction activities in the country and 2474.7 million manat of allocation was used.
During five months volume of cargo transportation by transport workers increased by 2.2 compared to last year and reached to 85.5 million tons, number of conveyed passengers increased by 7.7% and it was equal to 670.8 million persons.
In amount of 587.0 million manat or more than 7.9% compared to corresponding period of 2012 communication services were rendered to population, office and organizations by communication enterprises. 72.1% of services directly were rendered to population and it was increased by 7.0%.
During six months in amount of 9.8 milliard manat consumer goods were sold to population and rendered paid services in the consumer and service markets. Retail trade turnover increased by 8.8% and reached to 7.5 milliard manat, volume of paid services increased by 7.3% and reached to 2.3 milliard manat. 12.2% of consumer goods were realized by legal entities, 39.0% - by fairs and markets, 48.8% - by natural entities without establishing of legal entity.
According to the data of State Customs Committee during January-April in amount of 11.6 milliard dollars trade operations were implemented with 132 foreign countries. 11.2% or 1.3 milliard dollars of trade relations were carried out with CIS member countries, 88.8% or 10.3 milliard dollars with other countries.
During four months in amount of 8.4 milliard dollars product were exported, 490.0 million dollars of it were sent to CIS member countries, 94.2% or 7.9 milliard dollars were share of customers of other foreign countries.
In this period volume of imported products to the country was formed 3.2 milliard dollars. Value of imported products from other foreign countries was 2.3 milliard dollars and 803.9 million dollars from CIS member countries.
39.8% of foreign trade turnover were carried out with European Union countries, 11.2% with CIS member countries, 49.0% with other foreign countries.
Thus, during four months volume of goods exported from the country was higher for 5.2 milliard dollars than the value of goods imported to the country and as much as positive balance was created.
Also taking into account the data of reports received from AIOC and State Oil Company commodity turnover with foreign countries was 14.2 milliard dollars, as well as, export 11.0 milliard dollars and in amount of 7.8 milliard dollars positive balance was created.
During January-April the Country received in amount of 6.2 million dollars humanitarian and technical aids.
Average monthly wage/salary of employees engaged in economical and social fields during January-April increased by 7.3 % compared to corresponding period of last year and reached to 406.8 manat. Income of each country resident increased by 5.4% and reached to 1403.2 manat.
In May prices and service tariffs of consumer goods increased by 0.4% compared to previous month, as well as the prices of food products – 0.9%, prices of non-food products and service tariffs increased by 0.1%. During January-May prices and service tariffs of consumer goods increased by 1.7%, as well as, prices of food products – 1.4%, prices of non-food products – 0.5%, service tariffs – 3.3%.
According to the data of Ministry of Finance in January-April in amount of 6.7 milliard manat fund were received by the state budget and in amount of 6.2 milliard manat fund was spent and in amount of 410.4 million manat or as far as 2.4% of GDP surplus was created. 2.8 milliard manat or 45.6% of expenses of budget were directed to the development of economy, 629.5 million manat (10.1 %) – social defense and social security, 493.6 million manat (7.9 %) - education and health. 17.6% or 1.1 milliard manat of budget expenses was spent to the payment of salary/wage, pension and benefits.
Sum of credits presented by financial and credit institutions reached to 13.5 milliard manat till the 1st of May and increased by 29.2% compared to the 1st of May, 2012. 10.0 milliard manat of given credits were long-term credits, 754.7 million manat - payment was expired.
Volume of deposits put by the population increased by 32.9% compared to last year and reached to 5.8 milliard manat till the 1st of May. Sum of deposits with national currency was 3.5 milliard manat and deposits with foreign currency - 2.3 milliard manat.
In May average exchange rate of manat for 1 US dollar was 0.78 manat, 1 Euro – 1.02 manat, 100 Russian rouble – 2.50 manat and during January-May correspondingly it was equal to 0.78, 1.03 and 2.55 manat.
