Seminar on “Statistical Data Collection” held in Geneva, Switzerland
Leading advisor of the Labour Statistics Department of the State Statistical Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan – Elistan Azimov participated in the second seminar on “Statistical Data Collection” organized by UNECE on 25-27 September, 2013 in Geneva, Switzerland. Representatives of the national statistical organizations of Germany, Australia, Great Britain, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Georgia, Canada, Hungary, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Sweden, Mexico, Mongolia, Netherland, Poland, Portugal, the Republic of Korea, Russian Federation, Singapore, Slovenia and Turkey, Eurostat, ILO, IMF and others participated in the seminar.
The seminar was consisting of five topics. They were: centralizing data collection, managing data collection functions in a changing environment, improving the respondent experience, multiple modes of data collection, integration and management of new data sources.
At the end of the seminar the representatives decided to carry out seminars on data collection once or twice in a year, to exchange practice between the experts on data collection, creation of electron repository (storehouse) for exchange of data, material and document and etc.
