Construction

In the first half of 2014 along with other fields of country, the construction complex also developed dynamically. From all financial sources in amount of 7.6 milliard manat or more than 3.4% funds were directed to the fixed assets compared to corresponding period of previous year, its 70.7 % was provided to the account of internal sources. 67.9% of spent funds were used in production output, 32.1% - in the construction of facilities on service fields. Funds directed to the fixed assets by state property enterprises and organizations formed 49.2% of capital.
In January-June, 2014 followings were put into operation: in Baku city - new administrative-academic complex of National Conservatory, new buildings of Central Library of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences and “Azerbaijan National Encyclopedia” science center, building of National Institute of Sports Medicine, Diagnostics and Rehabilitation, Health Centre, National Gymnastics Arena, in Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Arpachay -2 Hydroelectric Power Station, Water-storage Reservoir and Water Treatment Complex, Youth Centre, in Sumgait city Azerbaijan Paper and Cardboard Factory, Oil Factory, Copper Processing Plant, in Ganja city Metal Casting and Continuous Rolling, Pressure Processing and Dying Plants, in Agdash region Food and Fruit Processing Plants, "Aghdash" Electrical substation, in Goy-Gol region Olympic Sport Complex, Youth Centre, in Gabala region first stage of “Tufan” Alpine Skiing Summer and Winter Recreation Complex, in Shamakhi region “Shamakhi Palace Platinum By Rixos” hotel, dwellings with total area 824.6 thousand square metre, hospital with 200 beds, secondary schools with 2640 places for pupils, pre-school institutions with 672 places and others were put into operation.
