During nine months of the current year 74.5 thousand employees engaged in transport enterprises. 72.2% of them were worked in state enterprises, 27.8% in private sector. 51.2 % of employees worked in surface and pipeline, 12.3 % in water, 16.1% in air transport and 20.4 % in enterprises providing support and additional transport activities.
Average monthly salary/wage of transport workers compared to January-September, 2013 increased by 1.7 % and became 538.9 manat. This indicator in air transport was formed 786.2 manat and in sea transport (736.8 manat), in metro transport (587.2 manat), in automobile transport (530.7 manat) and 254.9 manat in railway transport. Salary/wage in metro transport was increased by 10.8 %, in automobile transport (6.8%), in railway transport (5.2%) and in sea transport (1.1%).
Number of employees engaged in information and communication enterprises was 27.1 thousand persons, average monthly salary/wage of per employee increased by 10.2 % and became 736.7 manat.
