In the first quarter of the current year 70.3% of 70.3 thousand employees engaged in transport enterprises worked in state enterprises, 29.7% in private sector. 50.3% of employees worked in surface and pipeline, 9.9 % in water, 17.6% in air transport and 22.2% in enterprises providing support and additional transport activities.
Average monthly salary of transport workers compared to January-March, 2014 increased by 0.6 % and became 535.8 manat. This indicator in sea transport was formed 943.4 manat, in air transport 825.1 manat, in metro transport (589.3 manat), in automobile transport (299.9 manat) and 198.7 manat in railway transport. Salary in in sea transport was increased by 33.3%, in air transport 5.4% and in pipeline transport 1.3%.
Number of employees engaged in information and communication enterprises was 26.2 thousand person, average monthly salary of per employee increased by 8.1 % and became 751.0 manat.
