In January-September of the current year average number of employees engaged in transport enterprises formed 73.6 thousand. 72.1% of them worked in state enterprises, 27.9% in non-state enterprises. 54.3 % of employees worked in surface and pipeline, 9.2% in water, 16.8% in air transport and 19.7% in enterprises providing support and additional transport activities.
Average monthly salary of transport workers compared to January-September, 2014 increased by 3.9 % and became 560.1 manat. This indicator in sea transport was formed 1043.3 manat and in air transport (822.3 manat), in pipeline transport (716.9), in metro transport (583.7 manat), in automobile transport (476.1 manat) and 256.1 manat in railway transport. Compared to the corresponding period of the last year salary in sea transport increased by 41.6%, in air transport 4.6%, in railway transport 16.7% and in pipeline transport 1.9%.
Number of employees engaged in information and communication enterprises was 26.4 thousand persons, average monthly salary of per employee increased by 1.8 % and became 748.3 manat.
