Reproduction and protection of commercially important fishes
In 2016 resources in amount of 2940.5 thsd. manats or more for 11.8% compared to 2015 were spent for implementation of activities on reproduction and protection of commercially important fishes. 92.1% of these resources were spent to activities of artificial fish breeding enterprises, 7.9% - activities on amelioration of fishing farms.
Last year there were released 406.4 million units of young commercially important fishes in natural water basins and water reservoirs by farms engaged in reproduction and protection of commercially important fishes, of which 392.8 million units were carps, 7.9 million - sturgeon fishes, 5.5 million – plant eating fishes and 0.2 million – goldfishes.
