Changes in prices of consumer market
Prices of consumer goods and services in January-February 2017 compared to corresponding period of 2016 increased by 12.5%, including food products 15.6%, non-food products 12.5%, paid services provided to population 8.4%.
In February 2017 compared to January prices of consumer goods and services increased by 1.6%, including food products 2.5%, non-food products 0.9%, paid services provided to population 1.0%.
Over the month there had been observed go up in prices of rice, flour, buckwheat, macaroni products, beef, mutton and poultry, fish products, sausage products, dairy products, butter and vegetable oils, sugar and granulated sugar, coffee, tea and cacao, apple, pear, lemon, orange, tangerine, banana, cabbage, greens, cucumber, potato, onion, garlic, carrot, beet, alcoholic drinks and tobacco products, and decreasing in prices of eggs. No significant changes had been observed in prices of other food products.
In February compared to January go up had been observed in prices of non-food products such as fabrics, clothes and shoes, construction materials, furniture and home goods, jewellery, carpet and other floor coverings, glassware, cooking utensils, household appliances, personal computers, stationery, motor vehicles and their spare parts. No significant changes had been observed in prices of other non-food products.
Over the month decreasing had been observed in prices of paid services provided to population such as international passenger transportation by railway and air transport, recreation tours to abroad and go up in prices of services of repair of cars, furniture and floor coverings, medical and dental services, apartment rental fees, hotel services. No significant changes had been observed in prices of other paid services.
