Employees of the State Statistical Committee participated in the seminar in Geneva

A seminar on the Implementation of the System of Environmental Economic Accounting (SEEA) jointly organized by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) and the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) takes place in Geneva, Switzerland, on 21-22 February 2018. Rana Lazimova, Head of the Department of Energy and Environment Statistics of the Administration of the State Statistical Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Ilgar Valiyev, Head of the Environment statistics section of the same department are attending the event.

During the seminar the implementation of SEEA, the work done in different countries, existing problems and the ways to overcome them will be discussed and views on the knowledge and experience gained in this field will be shared. During the event, the representatives of the State Statistical Committee will make a presentation and talk about achievements in the country within the framework of the Environmental Economic Accounting and plans for the near future, share their experiences in solving the problems encountered during compilation of environmental accounts.
