Chairman of the State Statistical Committee Tahir Budagov met with the newly appointed Ambassador of Egypt to Azerbaijan.

On June 5, Chairman of the State Statistical Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan Tahir Budagov has met with Adel Ibrahim the newly appointed ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Azerbaijan. 

Chairman of the State Statistical Committee Tahir Budagov, who welcomed Adel Ibrahim, congratulated him on his appointment as ambassador to our country and wished him successes with his diplomatic activity in Azerbaijan. Chairman of the Committee gave detailed information about successful socio-economic reforms performed in our country under the leadership of Mr. Ilham Aliyev, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, against the background of the political and economic processes occurred in the world and underlined that bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Egypt will continue developing in political, economic, cultural and other spheres. Tahir Budagov informed about the activities carried out by the State Statistical Committee according to its directions and reforms on improvement of national statistical system, active international cooperation and achievements in the field of statistics.

Adel Ibrahim, newly appointed ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Egypt to Azerbaijan thanked for the cordial greeting and congratulation. The ambassador emphasized that construction work and rate of growth in Azerbaijan left a good impression on him. He notified that the dynamic development of cooperative and friendly ties between two countries is highly valued and will make efforts to expand economic relations.

During the meeting, sides exchanged opinions about the prospects of cooperation between the statistical bodies of the two countries and the issues of mutual interests.
