In 2018 industrial products at 47.7 milliard manats or more than 1.5% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year were produced by industrial enterprises and individual entrepreneurs operating in this field. Product output in non-oil sector of industry increased by 9.1%, while in oil sector it increased by 0.4%.

73.0% of industrial products were produced in mining sector, 22.2% in manufacturing sector, 4.1% in production, distribution and supply of electricity, gas and steam, 0.7% in the sector of water supply, waste management and remediation activities.

Marketable gas production in mining sector increased by 5.8%, while oil production remained at the same level of previous year.  

Production of automobile, trailers and semi-trailers in manufacturing sector increased by 31.0 times, tobacco products by 2.7 times, electrical equipment by 2.5 times, furniture by 2.1 times, polygraphic products by 82.1%, textile industry products by 42.4%, construction materials by 26.3%, production of leather and leather products and shoes by 23.3%, rubber and plastic products by 14.0%, production of beverage by 12.2%, metallurgical industrial products by 11.4%, wood manufacturing and production of wood products by 9.5%, production of chemical industrial products by 1.4%, production of paper and cardboard by 0.5%, while production of computer, electronic and optical products by 2.5%, installation and maintenance activities of machine and equipment by 14.7%, production of pharmaceutical products by 15.1%, production of machine and equipment by 19.1%, finished metal products by 27.4%, and production of other vehicles by 67.3% decreased.

Production volume in the sector of electricity, gas and steam production, distribution and supply has been increased by 7.0% while in the sector of water supply, waste management and remediation activities it increased by 3.7%.
