Industrial output in January 2019

In January 2019 industrial products at 3.8 milliard manats or more for 3.4 percent compared to the corresponding period of the 2018 were produced by industrial enterprises and individual entrepreneurs operating in this field. Product output in non-oil sector of industry increased by 13.8 percent.

72.5 percent of industrial products were produced in mining sector, 22.0 percent in manufacturing sector, 4.8 percent in production, distribution and supply of electricity, gas and steam, 0.7 percent in the sector of water supply, waste management and remediation activities.

Marketable gas production in mining sector increased by 26.4 percent, while oil decreased by 0.8 percent.

Production of automobile, trailers and semi-trailers in manufacturing sector increased by 2.9 times, furniture by 2.3 times, machine and equipment by 2.1 times, paper and cardboard by 75.2 percent, rubber and plastic products by 63.3 percent, wood manufacturing and production of wood products by 58.7 percent, textile industry products by 56.9 percent, beverage by 48.9 percent, computer, electronic and optical products by 37.1 percent, chemical industrial products by 35.4 percent, electrical equipment by 25.9 percent, installation and maintenance activities of machine and equipment by 15.0 percent, other vehicles by 11.9 percent, construction materials by 6.8 percent, leather and leather products and shoes by 1.5 percent, while production of polygraphic products decreased by 0.8 percent, metallurgical industrial products by 16.1 percent, pharmaceutical products by 24.4 percent, finished metal products by 25.4 percent, clothes by 32.3 percent, tobacco products by 33.5 percent.

Production volume in the sector of electricity, gas and steam production, distribution and supply increased by 0.5 percent and in the sector of water supply, waste management and remediation activities it increased by 8.1 percent.
