Changes in prices of consumer market
Consumer price index in 2019 compared to 2018 became 102.6%, including food products, beverage and tobacco products 103.8%, non-food products 101.2%, paid services provided to population 102.0%.
In December 2019 compared to November consumer price index became 100.5%, including food products, beverage and tobacco products 101.1%, non-food products and prices of paid services provided to population 100.1%.
In December 2019 compared to previous month increasing in prices of rice, semolina and buckwheat, macaroni products, beef and sheep meat, fresh and frozen fish, sausage products, nonpasteurized skimmed milk, cheese, egg, cottage cheese, sunflower oil, banana, apple, pear, pomegranate, date, grapes, nut, cabbage, cucumber, tomato, pumpkin, pepper, egg-plant, garlic, onion, potato, lemonade decreasing in prices of flour, chicken meat, yogurt, sour cream, butter, olive and corn oil, lemon, orange, tangerine, quince, kiwi, hazelnut, chestnut, beet, carrot, sugar powder, tea, and energy drinks were observed. No significant changes were observed in prices of other food products.
In December 2019 compared to November there was rise in prices of non-food products such as textile, clothes and shoes, carpets and other floor coverings, furniture and home goods, wallpapers, oil and watercolor paints, refrigerators, bikes, vacuum cleaners, decreasing in prices of air conditioners, mobile phones, TV sets, cut wood, synthetic detergents in powder form were observed. No significant changes were observed in prices of other non-food products.
In December 2019 compared to November there was rise in prices of paid services provided to population – repairing, cleaning and renting of clothes, repairing of household appliances, hairdressing, cosmetic and medical services, accommodation services provided by hotels, international passenger transportation services by railway and air transport, renting apartments. No significant changes were observed in prices of other paid services.
