Industrial output in January-May 2021
In January-May 2021 industrial products at 18,8 milliard manats or less for 2,2 percent compared to the corresponding period of 2020 were produced by industrial enterprises and individual entrepreneurs operating in this field. This decrease was due to 5,2 percent decrease in product output in oil-gas sector, while product output in non-oil and gas sector of industry increased by 16,2 percent.
62,5 percent of industrial products were produced in mining sector, 31,2 percent in manufacturing sector, 5,5 percent in production, distribution and supply of electricity, gas and steam, 0,8 percent in the sector of water supply, waste management and remediation activities.
Marketable oil production in mining sector decreased by 5,9 percent, while marketable gas production increased by 7,7 percent.
Production of pharmaceutical products in manufacturing sector increased by 4,4 times, leather and leather products and shoes by 2,9 times, computer, electronic and optical products by 2,5 times, machine and equipment by 98,5 percent, installation and maintenance activities of machine and equipment by 96,3 percent, tobacco products by 86,3 percent, electrical equipment by 81,5 percent, textile industry products by 43,0 percent, paper and cardboard by 41,0 percent, construction materials by 29,3 percent, rubber and plastic products by 24,6 percent, production of clothes by 20,5 percent, food products by 7,7 percent, wood manufacturing and production of wood products by 5,3 percent, oil products by 3,0 percent, metallurgical industrial products by 2,4 percent, while production of finished metal products decreased by 4,7 percent, beverage by 8,6 percent, chemical industrial products by 9,8 percent, furniture 28,9 percent, automobile, trailers and semi-trailers production by 47,7 percent, polygraphic products by 63,5 percent, other vehicles by 70,9 percent.
Production volume in the sector of electricity, gas and steam production, distribution and supply increased by 0,1 percent while in the sector of water supply, waste management and remediation activities it increased by 7,6 percent.
