Distribution of natural gas in January-June 2021

Taking into account the reserves for the beginning of the current year, in January-June 2021 the volume of marketable natural gas resources in the country amounted to 17409.9 million cubic meters. 86.1% of resources were formed due to production, 13.9% due to balance. 35.8% of natural gas was consumed, 51.7% was exported, 2.8% was lost, and 9.7% remained as a reserve for the beginning of July.

62.2% of natural gas consumed within the country was spent for production needs, while 37.8% was sold to the population.

In January-June 2021, 8992.2 million cubic meters or 35.1 percent more natural gas was exported compared to the corresponding period of 2020.

2360.3 million cubic meters or 6.7 percent more natural gas compared to the corresponding period of the previous year was consumed by the population and 37.2% of it was per the share of Baku city, 3.5% - Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, 10.7% Absheron-Khizi, 6.1% Central Aran, 6.0% Ganja-Dashkasan, 6.0% Lankaran-Astara, 5.9% - Gazakh-Tovuz, 5.0% - Shaki-Zagatala, 4.9% - Guba-Khachmaz, 4.6% - Karabakh, 3.9% - Mil-Mughan, 3.8% - Shirvan-Salyan, 2.4% - Daghlig-Shirvan economic regions.
