Course of the grain harvest
The mass harvest of cereals and legumes is about to be completed. According to the operational data for August 16, 2022, 936,5 thousand hectares or 98,0 percent of 955,2 thousand hectares of land planned to be harvested for autumn and summer cereals and legumes (excluding corn) were sown and harvested. 2850,0 thousand tons of products were collected from the fields, productivity was equal to 30,4 quintals. 1731,8 thousand tons or 60,8 percent of the product was wheat, 1092,0 thousand tons (38,3 percent) barley, 26,2 thousand tons (0,9 percent) other cereals and leguminous crops.
Harvest of cereals and legumes (excluding corn) in 23 regions of the Republic and the Autonomous Republic of Nakhchivan was completed. More than 90,0% of the area intended to be mowed in 31 districts was mowed, while in others the level of mowing was lower than 90,0%.
The highest productivity was in Hajigabul (44,7 quintals per hectare), Barda (44.3 quintals accordingly), Tovuz (40,9), Sabirabad (42.6), Tartar (40.9), Saatli (40,7 quintals), Agjabadi (40.4), Aghdam (40,3), Samukh (40.0), Imishli (39,4), and Beylagan (37,7) districts.
The largest production of cereals and legumes (excluding corn) compared to other regions was in Jalilabad (192,3 thousand tons), Kurdamir (135,1 thousand tons), Fuzuli (125,7 thousand tons), Agsu (115,6 thousand tons), Agjabadi (113,8 thousand tons), Ismayilli (110,7thousand tons) Bilasuvar (96.7 thousand tons), and Sabirabad (93.1 thousand tons) districts.
