Traffic accidents occurred on the highways in in January-June 2022
In January-June 2022, 817 or 8,1% more traffic accidents occurred compared to the corresponding period of 2021, the number of victims of these events increased by 12,2% to 1109 persons. 336 of suffered persons died and 773 of them were injured. 48,8% of accidents happened in the daytime, 37,1% - at night time, 14,1% - during twilight, 29,6% of accidents occurred on Saturdays and Sundays.
84,1% of traffic accidents happened in settlements; number of persons died as a result of these accidents compared to the corresponding period of last year increased by 10,3% and made 235 persons, number of injured persons increased by 7,9% and made 696 persons.
