The State Statistical Committee held an event dedicated to the 101st anniversary of the birth of National Leader Heydar Aliyev

On May 10, an event was held at the State Statistical Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan in honor of the 101st anniversary of the birth of our national leader Heydar Aliyev.

First, the bust of our national leader Heydar Aliyev, which is raised in the foyer of the Committee, was visited. Floral tributes were laid in front of it, and his cherished memory was honored with a minute of silence.

At the event, the unmatched services to the homeland and people during the leadership of the independent state of Azerbaijan’s founder and architect, the world-famous politician and great statesman, national leader Heydar Aliyev, were discussed. His rescue mission and rich legacy of statecraft were highlighted, noting that he dedicated his significant and meaningful life to his people, and to the strengthening and rise of Azerbaijan. It was mentioned that national leader Heydar Aliyev, with his political acumen and wisdom, created a rich school of statecraft and high tradition of governance, ascending to the pinnacle of national leadership. His school of state governance, which is rooted in values such as protecting our independence, serving the homeland, the people, and the state with loyalty, and not sparing even one’s life in this path, was emphasized. It was stated that national leader Heydar Aliyev, who thought about the welfare of Azerbaijan and its people throughout his life and tirelessly worked for this supreme goal, sacrificing his life for it, has earned eternal love in hearts and everlasting memory. The national development strategy determined by great leader Heydar Aliyev, his far-sighted and wise policy, are being successfully continued at a qualitatively new level under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev. His intense labour and tireless activity have been instrumental in the reforms carried out in our republic and the great achievements obtained, including the victory in the 44-day Patriotic War. Additionally, the local anti-terror operations conducted by Azerbaijan on September 19-20, 2023, which fully restored its sovereignty, were mentioned as laying a solid foundation for peace in the South Caucasus region. The event particularly emphasized that our country is rapidly and comprehensively developing, and our state is becoming even more powerful.

Afterward, a film dedicated to the life and activities of the national leader Heydar Aliyev was shown.

In the end, membership cards were presented to a group of employees of the Administration of the State Statistics Committee apparatus who had been admitted to the New Azerbaijan Party.
