Participation of Deputy Head of Labour Statistics Department – Nemat Khuduzadeh at the second meeting of the Group of Experts on Measuring Quality of Employment

Meeting of the Group of Experts on Measuring Quality of Employment was organized by the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE), in cooperation with Eurostat and ILO on 11-13 September, 2013 in Palais des Nations in Geneva, Switzerland. As the member of expert group Deputy Head of Labour Statistics Department Nemat Khuduzade participated in the second meeting.
The purpose of this meeting was to present the preliminary results achieved by the Expert Group and seek feedback from the participating countries. The Expert Group presented the revised conceptual structure for measuring quality of employment, the revised list of indicators for dimensions 1 (Safety and ethics of employment), 2 (Income and benefits from employment), 3 (Working hours and balancing work and non-working life) and 4 (Security of employment and social protection) as well as the detailed indicator descriptions (indicator sheets) that have been developed to provide guidance for the computation and interpretation of the indicators.
The Expert Group’s work on dimensions 5 (Social dialogue), 6 (Skills development and training) and 7 (Workplace relationships and work motivation) was also launched and discussed at the meeting to collect comments and proposals from the participants.
