Speakers at the event emphasized the determination of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Ilham Aliyev, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, and the courage of the honourable Azerbaijani army, which led to restoration of territorial integrity. The Patriotic War was described as a shining chapter in Azerbaijan history, a source of pride and honour for the Azerbaijan people, showcasing a unity of the nation around the “Iron Fist”. The restoration work in the liberated territories was brought to attention, emphasizing the successful implementation of the Great Return program by President Ilham Aliyev.  The importance of bringing back internally displaced compatriots to their ancestral lands in the liberated territories was underscored, acknowledging the significance of this initiative.

Moreover, it was emphasized that the local anti-terrorist measures conducted by Azerbaijan on September 19-20, 2023, led to the full restoration of sovereignty, creating a fundamental basis for peace in the South Caucasus region. October 15, 2023, was marked as a historic day when President Ilham Aliyev, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, raised the state flag of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Aghdara, Khojaly, Askeran, Khojavand, and Khankendi.
