Meeting on the management of statistical information systems (MSIS) held in Dublin, Ireland

Representative of the State Statistical Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan Gasim Aliyev – Head of Department of Quality Management and Information Technologies participated in the meeting on the Management of Statistical Information System (MSIS) organized by UNECE/Eurostat/OECD/ESCAP on 14-16 April, 2014 in Dublin, Ireland. This meeting was organized as a part of working programme on 2014 of the Conference of European Statisticians. ESCAP held a similar meeting in Manila, Philippines on the same dates and the two were connected for part of the time by video conference.
Including representative of Azerbaijan as well as representatives of Statistical Services of Albania, Austria, Canada, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong region of China, Hungary, Island, India, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Nederland, Norway, Poland, Russian Federation, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, Great Britain, and United States of America participated in the meeting. Also, representatives of Eurostat, ILO, IMF, ECO and other organizations participated as observer in the meeting.
The work programme of the meeting was consisting of the following substantive themes: How IT can contribute to changing organizational culture; Standards-based modernization; Innovation; Architecture.
