Expert of the State Statistical Committee participated in the study course organized by ILO for a delegation of high-level officials from the Chinese Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security (MHRSS)

A meeting with a delegation of high-level officials from the Chinese Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security (MHRSS) on international experiences and good practices on approaches and initiatives for improving quality of employment and decent work held on 27 October, 2015 in Geneva.
Deputy Head of Labour Statistics Department of the State Statistical Committee Nemat Khuduzade as well as, expert of Federal Statistical Office of Germany Mr. Thomas Korner and expert of ILO Ms. Monica Castillo participated at above mentioned study course.
The study tour was composed of eight persons responsible for policy-making on employment at national and provincial levels.
During the meeting ILO officials and also officials from a few national statistical offices presented information on topics related to the Decent Work Measurement Framework and Indicators, and the Statistical Framework for Measuring Quality of Employment.
During the meeting Nemat Khuduzade presented presentation on “National experience with measuring decent work and implications for measuring the quality of employment” in Azerbaijan.
As well as, following topics were discussed during the study course: The Statistical Framework for Measuring Quality of Employment: understanding the similarities and differences vis-à-vis the Decent Work Measurement Framework and Indicators; National experience with measuring the quality of employment: The case of Germany; National experience with measuring decent work: The case of Morocco; Monitoring Decent Work at country level using Decent Work Indicators: Experiences and lessons learned from the development of the Decent Work Country Profiles; The 19th ICLS Resolution concerning statistics of work, employment and labour underutilization: Implications for the measurement of Decent Work and Quality of Employment; ILO Statistical support for the measurement of decent work and quality of employment; Child labour statistics, Forced labour statistics; Social security statistics and others.
At the end of the meeting Head of Permanent Mission of the People's Republic of China to the United Nations noted that, all discussed topics were very valuable for all the participants and positively assessed the results of the course.
