The State Statistical Committee is represented in the regional seminar in Bangkok
The Asia-Pacific Regional Training Workshop on the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development Goal 11: Make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable in the light of environment, is held in Bangkok, Thailand, 26-29 March 2018. Rasim Safarov, Head of the Department of Sustainable Development Statistics of the Administration of the State Statistical Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan takes parts in this event.
The main objective of the regional workshop organized by the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) in collaboration with United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat), is to build the capacity of national statistical officers, ministry officials, urban experts and practitioners in urban data management, analysis, interpretation and use of spatial data for decision-making at local and national levels. The workshop agenda includes level of disaggregation of spatial indicators, the national, political, legal and institutional framework of the data collection, analysis, use and dissemination, as well as up-to-date matters related with application of UN-Habitat Programme methodology. Three-day workshop will deal with national experience, existing challenges and alternative methods on spatial indicators management.
