A seminar on strategic management issues related to the structure of national statistical institutions was held in Tirana

A seminar organized by the European Free Trade Association and Albania Institute of Statistics, on strategic management issues related to the structure of national statistical agencies, with particular focus on administrative information and registrations was held in Tirana, Albania on 5-6 July 2018. Vugar Mammadalizadeh, Head of the Department of Quality Management and Metadata of the State Statistical Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan attended the event. The two-day workshop covered sharing experiences of the participating countries and discussing the themes on the Generic Statistical Business Process Model (GSBPM), the Generic Activity Model for Statistical Organizations (GAMSO) and the Quality Management System (QMS) along with how to use administrative information in the statistical production process. As well as a presentation on the national statistical system of Azerbaijan was featured and detailed information on the establishment of a quality management system in the State Statistical Committee, the current status of the metadata system, the preparation of the national version of GSBPM, internal audit of the quality management system, achievements gained in the field of QMS and future upcoming steps was given at the workshop.
