The State Statistical Committee has been represented at the international conference on the population census

The 31st Population Census Conference, organised by the Association of National Census and Statistics Directors of America, Asia and the Pacific (ANCSDAAP) in collaboration with the Statistics Bureau of Japan took place in Tokyo, on 29 November – 1 December.

The overviews of countries and experiences gained on population census in the 2020 round, new technologies and alternative methods on census-taking, data collection and processing, census evaluation, data dissemination, data analysis and utilization, challenges on planning census for the next years etc. were discussed and country experiences were shared at the event.

Deputy Cahirman of the State Statistical Commitee Mr Yusif Yusifov attended the conference as a speaker. Making a presentation on the population census held in Azerbaijan in 2019, the Deputy Chairman gave detailed information to the participants of the event on preparation for the census, its implementation and results.
