The number of nights spent in hotels and similar establishments in 2022 increased by 1,5 times compared with 2021 and amounted to 2647,1 thousand. 55,1% of the nights in hotels were registered in Baku, 6.5% in Gabala, 5,8% in Guba, 4,9% in Khachmaz, 4,1% in Gusar, 3,8% in Shabran, 3,6% in Lankaran, 3,2% in Naftalan, 2,3% in Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, 1,1% in Ismayilli, 1,0% in Shamakhi, 0,8% in Gakh, 0,8% in Ganja, 0,7% in Shusha, 0,7% in Masalli, and 5,6% in other districts (cities).

The number of nights spent by foreigners and stateless persons increased by 3,4 times compared with 2021 and amounted to 1394,1 thousand, representing 52,7% of total nights. 16,5% of the nights were spent by citizens of Saudi Arabia, 12,6% - the Russian Federation, 10,5% - the United Arab Amirates, 8,6% - Turkey, 5,2% - India, 3,9% - Kuwait, 3,9% - Israel, 3,4% - USA, 3,0% - Great Britain, 2,5% - Pakistan, 1,7% - Kazakhstan, 1,5% - Germany, 1,3% - Uzbekistan, 1,3% - Qatar, 1,2% - Georgia, 1,1% - Italy, 0,9% - Iran, 0,8% - Oman, 0,7% - China, 0,6% - Ukraine, 0,6% - the Netherlands, 18,2% - citizens of other countries.

79,6% of the nights in hotels spent by foreigners and stateless persons were registered in Baku city, 7,2% in Gabala, 4,0% in Guba, 3,4% in Gusar, 2,6% in Naftalan, 0,7% in Shabran, 0,6% in Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, 1,9% in other districts and cities.

The number of nights spent in hotels by the citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan was 1253,0 thousand, representing 47,3% of total nights.

In 2022, hotels' revenues increased by 1,7 times compared with 2021 and amounted to 355,3 million manats, 59,6% of which were services for the provision of rooms, 28,4% for catering services, 3,0% for treatment and health services, and 9,0% for other services.

In 2022, one time use of the number of hotels was 15,7% (11,1% in 2021). This indicator was 80,1% in Shabran, 37,6% in Naftalan, 27,8% in Guba, 26,2% in Beylagan, 24,1% in Lankaran, 23,8% in Baku, 20,0% in Aghjabadi, 19,7% in Gabala, 16,7% in Shusha, 16,2% in Sabirabad while in other cities and regions it was below average.
