Course of the grain harvest

The mass harvest of cereals and legumes is about to be completed. According to the operational data for August 15, 2023, 910,2 thousand hectares or 97,9 percent of 930,0 thousand hectares of land planned to be harvested for autumn and spring cereals and legumes (excluding corn) were sown and harvested. 2915,3 thousand tons of products were collected from the fields, productivity was equal to 32,0 quintals. 1828,6 thousand tons or 62,7 percent of the product was wheat, 1064,1 thousand tons (36,5 percent) barley, 22,6 thousand tons (0,8 percent) other cereals and leguminous crops.

Harvest of cereals and legumes (excluding corn) in 21 regions of the Republic was completed. More than 90,0% of the area intended to be mowed in 31 regions and the Autonomous Republic of Nakhchivan was mowed, while in others the level of mowing was lower than 90,0%.

The highest productivity was in Hajigabul (51,8 quintals per hectare), Agjabadi (45,3), Barda (44,8), Tartar (43,5), Sabirabad (42,9), Salyan (41,9), Aghdam (41,3), Saatli (40,9), Imishli (39,6), Tovuz (39,6) and Samukh (39,5) and districts.

More production of cereals and legumes (excluding corn) compared to other regions was in Jalilabad (218,6 thousand tons), Kurdamir (148,4 thousand tons), Agjabadi (120,7 thousand tons), Agsu (118,0 thousand tons), Hajigabul (107,0 thousand tons), Sabirabad (102,9 thousand tons), Bilasuvar (96,8 thousand tons), Ismayilli (93,0 thousand tons) districts.
