Taking into account resources for the beginning of the current year the volume of marketable natural gas resources in January-June 2024 made 21870,9 million cubic meters. 27,5% of the resources was consumed, 59,8% - exported, 2,5% - losses and 10,2% remained as resource for the beginning of July.

59,8% of natural gas consumed within the country was used for production needs and 40,2% sold to population.

In January-June 2024 13079,6 million cubic meters or compared to corresponding period of 2023 more for 10,8% of natural gas was exported.

2420,4 million cubic meters or compered to corresponding period of the previous year more for 4,2% of natural gas was consumed by population, of which 37,9% was per the share of Baku city, 3,1% - Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, 11,7% - Absheron-Khizi, 6,0% - Ganja-Dashkesen, per 5,7% - Lankaran-Astara and Central Aran, 5,5% - Gazakh-Tovuz, 5,0% - Shaki-Zagatala, 4,9% - Guba-Khachmaz, 4,6% - Karabakh, 3,8% - Mil-Mughan, 3,6% - Shirvan-Salyan and 2,5% - Daghlig Shirvan economic regions.
