The Regional Training workshop on enhancing statistical leadership skills for the heads of national statistical institutions was held in Ulaanbaatar on September 4-6, 2024, organized by the Partnership in Statistics for Development in the 21st Century (PARIS21), the UN Statistical Institute for Asia and the Pacific (SIAP), and the National Statistics Office of Mongolia. The Deputy Chairman of the State Statistical Committee, Yusif Yusifov, participated in the event.  

During the seminar, topics such as the importance of emotional intelligence, psychological preparedness, and their application in the organization and development of statistics, key factors of leadership in this field, best practices in inclusive leadership, and strengthening communication skills to support employees' career advancement were discussed, along with practical sessions.

The aim of the Training workshop was to improve the management and leadership skills of individuals heading statistical institutions and to enhance their capacity for effectively addressing emerging challenges.
