Course of the grain harvest
The mass harvest of cereals and legumes is about to be completed. According to the operational data for August 13, 2024, 979.3 thousand hectares or 98.3 percent of 995.7 thousand hectares of land planned to be harvested for autumn and spring cereals and legumes (excluding corn) were harvested. 2937.3 thousand tons of products were collected from the fields, productivity was equal to 30.0 quintals. 1680.3 thousand tons or 57.2 percent of the product was wheat, 1227.4 thousand tons (41.8 percent) barley, and 29.6 thousand tons (1.0 percent) other cereals and leguminous crops.
Harvest of cereals and legumes (excluding corn) in 26 regions of the Republic was completed. More than 90.0% of the area intended to be mowed in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and 29 regions was mowed, while in others the level of mowing was lower than 90.0%.
The highest productivity was in Hajigabul (51.4 quintals per hectare), Agjabadi (44.4), Sabirabad (43.4), Salyan (42.0), Barda (41.6), Aghdam (41.5), Saatli (41.0), Imishli (39.6), Samukh (37.6), Zagatala (36.1) and Beylagan (35.9) districts.
More production of cereals and legumes (excluding corn) compared to other regions was in Jalilabad (224.7 thousand tons), Sheki (152.7 thousand tons), Agjabadi (144.9 thousand tons), Fuzuli (130.7 thousand tons), Kurdamir (125.2 thousand tons), Agsu (108.2 thousand tons), Hajigabul (106.2 thousand tons), and Ismayilli (97.0 thousand tons) districts.
