The State Statistical Committee was represented at the High Level Seminar

On September 11-13, 2024, a High-Level Seminar on " Statistical leadership in the new data ecosystem: building up and managing relations with data holders, other producers of official statistics, and users" was held in Belgrade, Serbia, organized by the Statistical Office of the European Union (Eurostat) in collaboration with the European Free Trade Association and the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe. The event was attended by Rauf Salimov, Deputy Chairman of the State Statistical Committee, and Gasım Aliyev, Head of the Department of Statistical Works Coordination and Strategic Planning.

During the event, sessions were held on the achievements in the field of statistics in recent years in the Eastern region of the European Neighborhood Policy, as well as in Central Asian countries, the management of relations with administrative and individual data owners and users, coordination within the national statistical system, statistical cooperation, evaluations of statistical systems and domains, and other related topics. Presentations on these subjects were made by high-level officials of the national statistical institutions of the participating countries.
